These terms apply to Ar Sabi Salone (formerly SLAPIP), the SLAPIP website, API and developer portal. The services are operated by TECH HAS NO FACE LIMITED (company number 09787757).
1. The service
SLAPIP provides published catalogue records, location hierarchy, selected context, maps and developer tools for Sierra Leone. Ar Sabi Salone is the mobile experience for this platform and has no paid access, subscription or in-app purchase. Features, sources and coverage can change as records are reviewed and reconciled. You must use the service lawfully and must not interfere with its security, availability or other users.
2. Data confidence and safe use
Location data can be incomplete, renamed, retired or awaiting source-backed review. A verified coordinate has review metadata; an approximate catalogue coordinate is context only and is not an address, route, boundary, distance or navigation claim; an unavailable coordinate has no pin. You are responsible for independently verifying information before relying on it for emergency response, navigation, property, legal, financial, safety-critical or other high-impact decisions.
3. Developer and API use
- New integrations must use the documented versioned API contract and follow its authentication, pagination, caching and error-handling guidance.
- Keep API credentials in trusted server-side environments. Do not expose keys in browser or mobile-app code.
- Use stable SLAPIP identifiers rather than names alone, apply sensible caching and respect published rate limits and service controls.
- Do not scrape, overload, reverse engineer, bypass access controls or use the API to create a competing location-data service without written permission.
- API-key rotation may invalidate or retire credentials under the key-management policy; account holders are responsible for securing their keys and integrations.
4. Community reports and submitted content
You may submit a correction or evidence that you are entitled to share. Submission permits TECH HAS NO FACE LIMITED to review the material for data stewardship. It is not published or applied automatically. 5. Intellectual property, attribution and third parties
SLAPIP and Ar Sabi Salone branding, software and original content belong to TECH HAS NO FACE LIMITED or its licensors. Source datasets, MapTiler tiles and open-source components can have separate licences and attribution requirements. Preserve required attribution and follow the licences and acknowledgements page.
6. Availability, changes and liability
The service is provided on an “as available” basis. We may maintain, change, suspend or discontinue features to protect users, improve the service or comply with law. To the extent permitted by law, TECH HAS NO FACE LIMITED disclaims warranties and is not liable for indirect, incidental, special or consequential loss arising from use of the service.
7. Changes and contact
