Catalogue transparency

What the current data can support.

SLAPIP makes the published hierarchy useful while clearly separating current coverage from source-backed verification.

Published coverage

Current read-only catalogue

  • 4 provinces
  • 16 districts
  • 196 chiefdoms
  • 1 Western Area
  • 34 Western Area Rural localities
  • 8 Western Area Urban divisions

Coordinate confidence

What map markers mean

Verified means a coordinate has source-backed review metadata. Approximate catalogue coordinate is shown as an amber context marker, never as an address, route or boundary claim. Awaiting verification means no pin is displayed.

Primary reconciliation authority

Statistics Sierra Leone

Future administrative reconciliation must register the official release, licence, checksum and source date before a controlled migration. OEDP may be used as a secondary comparison source, not to overrule official data.

Review before publication

Coordinate, boundary, landmark and facility changes require a named source, evidence link, review date and steward decision. The correction queue records suggestions separately from live data.
